Rauw Alejandro

Raul Alejandro Ruiz (born on January 10, 1993), known professionally as Rauw Alejandro is a Puerto Rican singer and songwriter. He is referred to as the "King of Contemporary Reggaeton",[2][3He is part of "the new generation" of Puerto Rican urban musicians. [4] His debut album, Afrodisiaco, was released in the month of November in 2020. The second album of his studio Vice Versa, which debuted in June 2021 and featured the lead single "Todo de Ti". He has been awarded two Latin Grammy Awards from twelve nominations. Raul Alejandro Olasio-Ruiz was conceived in San Juan (Puerto Rico) on January 10, 1993. His family was raised in Carolina and Canovanas. His father Raul Ocasio Ruiz played guitar and his mother Maria Nelly Ruiz was his vocalist backing. They introduced him to the music of Michael Jackson and Elvis Presley. Six years ago, Alejandro lived with his father for many years throughout the United States, mostly New York City and Miami in which were influenced by R&B and the dancehall genres. [7][8] Alejandro and his fellow Puerto Rican rapper Anuel AA are childhood buddies; they were both at the same school and took classes together. 9/10/10 Alejandro took part in school talent shows in his early years because he loves dancing. He enrolled at the University of Puerto Rico after he graduated high school. From the age of six until the age of twenty playing soccer, he was a player, but he quit after deciding that he "could not perform as well as was expecting to" and suffered an injury at age 20. He later moved to Orlando to try to be scouted by the Premier Development League (PDL). Rauw Alejandro's musical style encompasses Latin R&B, reggaeton, ballsads and rhythmic pop. Billboard said that it's helped "set him aside from a growing category of pop-leaning reggaetoneros".
